Hourly Rate: $15.39
Job Description: Work one on one with adults in home and within the community assisting in daily life, social and academic skills, and/or behavior management training such as basic cooking, cleaning, and hygiene. Assists clients on attending appointments, shopping, community activities and professional visits, etc. Personally, assists with bating, toileting, dressing and grooming. Serves as role model and provides emotional support and feedback to the client and their support system.
Anticipated Schedule: Will work 29 hours per week (hours may vary) and include weekend rotations.
Competencies: Ability to observe and monitor program participants' behavior; ability to redirect behavioral outbursts; ability to train program participants in routine daily living skills; ability to work flexible hours; ability to participate in supportive guidance. Must be proficient with computers.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and six months social services experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess a valid driver's license with three years driving experience (per policy) to provide transportation and have a clean driving record with no more than 6 points. CNA certification and/or experience with developmentally delayed population preferred. Applicants must be able to lift 50-100 lbs.
