Summary/Objective
The Unison Bank Marketing Department is responsible for managing the organization’s brand, providing insight and guidance, generating and managing relationships and supporting growth.
The VP Marketing is responsible for maintaining and strengthening Unison Bank and its brand, in addition to developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to support growth of the bank and promote its image in the communities we serve. This role is also responsible for guiding and building up a strong, efficient and reliable Marketing team.
Essential Functions
- meets with applicable personnel to develop marketing plans and market analysis; works and supports all Unison Bank departments with event and communication needs
- develops marketing strategies and campaigns for internal and external purposes; reviews and interprets market research along with customer bank trends to provide input for campaigns; creates, implements and measures the success of advertising and promotion activities
- oversees the creation and maintenance of marketing content and collateral
- ad creation (print, web and radio), sponsorships, public relations, photography, website/intranet development and maintenance; ensures that the brand is reflected and maintained; supports branch signage needs
- manages email marketing system by uploading lists, creating content, scheduling and coordinating automation needs
- creates branding opportunities customized to the communities we serve; coordinates customer events, promotions, campaigns and local events
- maintains and develops great relationships with customers and employees
- oversees the ordering and execution of promotional items, gifts and imprint-able items
- oversees social media platforms and provides interaction and responses as needed
- assists with development and enhancement of electronic platforms
- stays up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications; and monitors/investigates industry trends to enhance product development
- works with Compliance department to ensure regulatory, internal policy and audit/compliance requirements are met for marketing collateral
- develops and maintains the marketing budget; responsible for tracking invoices/expenses against the budget
- coordinates/selects vendors and services for execution of marketing strategies
- assists department managers with the education and training of staff on procedures for fully developing customer relationships with all products and services
- participates in senior management meetings as necessary; sits on the Information Technology Steering Committee

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related field; or 3 to 5 years of equivalent experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience. Must have 2 years of marketing development and social media experience, as well as 2 years of experience in the financial industry or an understanding of banking principles.
