Responsibilities
- Transport goods safely and efficiently over long distances
- Adhere to all federal and state regulations regarding transportation
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules
- Handle cargo loading and unloading as needed
- Ensure timely delivery while maintaining a high standard of safety
- Report any issues or concerns with the vehicle or cargo immediately
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of OTR driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Availability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed
- Experience with dedicated routes
- Hazmat endorsement is a plus
- Ability to drive trailers of various lengths and types
- Familiarity with routes in the Midwest region
- Customer service experience in transportation industry
