Job Description
**Steel Detailer**
We are looking for steel detailer to join our team. As a Detailer you
will be responsible for creating precise detailed 3D model and generate
accurate shop drawings for various structural and miscellaneous steel
projects.
Duties
Create 3D models, and produce shop, assembly and erection drawings per
contract documents
Submit Request for Information(RFIs) to Customers
Work Closely with Project Managers and Design Teams
Utilize Design Software such as Tekla by Trimble
Utilize document software such as BlueBeam
Ability to Multi Task and work on multiple projects
Strong Attention to Detail and accuracy in design work
**Structural Steel Detailer**
A structural steel detailer interprets architectural and structural
engineering drawings to create a 3D model, from this model they provide
shop fabrication drawings for each member of the building.
These drawings contain all dimensions, material sizing, welding, and
bolting requirements.
They also provide erection drawings for the steel erector. These
drawings show the field how to put together each piece of steel,
Essentially How To Put The Jigsaw Puzzle Together.
A detailer also produces all the CNC files needed for the machine
programming and material ordering.
