Salary: $23/hour
Benefits*: Part-Time, hourly position: The Company provides:

Stipend: $600 per month for months June & July (for all locations)
Please note relocation and housing are not provided. Interns are responsible for securing and funding their own housing and transportation during the program.

Overview: Hands-On Retail Leadership Experience:
Join us on the sales floor! The UNIQLO Store Management Internship is a hands-on learning experience designed for students who are passionate about retail, leadership, and making an impact in a fast-paced environment. As a store intern, you’ll work directly on the retail sales floor, supporting store operations and developing leadership skills alongside our full-time team.
This internship is a steppingstone towards a long-term career with UNIQLO. Top-performing interns will be considered for our UNIQLO Manager Candidate (UMC) Program—a full-time leadership development track designed to fast-track your career in store management.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work on the sales floor alongside store staff, assisting with customer service, product merchandising, and daily store operations
- Serve as Manager on Duty during shifts, helping lead store operations and motivate the team toward daily KPIs
- See the behind the scenes of our retail business and how it impacts the consumers
- Collaborate on a project focused on improving store operations or customer experience, to be presented to company leaders at the end of the internship
End of Term Project:
You will focus approximately 20% of your time on a unique project that tackles an opportunity or area of improvement at your specific store location. Examples of past projects include: improving app downloads, increasing internal employee morale, increasing brand awareness of UNIQLO projects to customers, and more. At the end of the program, you will present your results and findings to our store and corporate leaders!
Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled at an accredited college or university for an undergraduate or graduate degree, sophomore or above in graduation date (ie graduating in Fall 2026 or later)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Available to join in-person orientation at our New York City office the first week of the program. Travel and costs covered in accordance with company policy, depending on distance.
- Ability to work minimum 30 hours/week in-stores
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of UNIQLO’s stores and products.
- Previous retail, hospitality, or food/beverage experience (ie customer facing roles).
- Strong leadership and teamwork experience. Strong interest working in retail, specifically as a future store manager
- Basic experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, and SharePoint.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize
- Ability to calculate basic retail math and analyze sales results
- Strong public speaking and project presentation skills, as interns will complete and present an end-of-program project to leadership.
- Ability to advocate and problem solve independently. Proactive in group conversations.
Physical Demands: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, and standing. Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours. Involves lifting at least 30 lbs. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May involve reaching above eye level. Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations

The interview process consists of three rounds of virtual interviews:
- Recruiter Interview
- Store Manager Interview
- Director Interview
