Pay: $18–$23/hr
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm, Monday thru Friday) (Full-Time)
Uniparts Olsen, Inc. is a trusted manufacturer of precision steel components for some of the world’s largest off-highway OEMs. We value safety, craftsmanship, and stability — and we’re looking for a skilled 2nd Shift CNC Lathe Operator to join our growing machining team.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate modern CNC single-spindle lathes using bar feeders or chuck jaws.
- Load raw material, monitor machining cycles, and make basic adjustments to maintain part quality.
- Inspect parts using digital calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, reef gauges, table dial gauges, tape measures, and other precision tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and in-process check requirements.
- Perform accurate in-process quality checks and complete real-time reporting.
- Verify correct material, tools, and feed tubes before machining.
- Pack finished parts for transport to the next operation.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out, PPE, and emergency protocols.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience running CNC lathes; setup and troubleshooting experience a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and apply shop math (fractions, decimals, conversions).
- Skilled with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges).
- Strong safety mindset and consistent attention to detail.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and able to communicate clearly with supervisors and teammates.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, stretch, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs for the duration of the shift.
- Programming experience preferred but not required.
