We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our property management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and experience in real estate administration. Responsibilities
- Assist the Property Manager in overseeing the daily operations of residential or commercial properties.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws.
- Manage tenant relations by addressing inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate leasing activities, including showing properties to prospective tenants and processing applications.
- Maintain accurate records using property management software such as Yardi or CMMS.
- Support rent collection efforts and assist in financial reporting as needed.
- Negotiate lease agreements and renewals while ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely resolution of property issues.
- Implement customer relationship management strategies to enhance tenant satisfaction.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and real estate administrative processes is essential.
- Experience with Section 8 housing programs is a plus.
- Proficiency in property management software, particularly Yardi or similar systems.
- Strong sales skills to effectively market properties and negotiate leases.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills for effective tenant interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- A background in law or legal aspects related to property management is advantageous but not required.
