Summer Camp Job Description – Summer Camp Group Leader
Overview: Join our fun and close-knit preschool summer camp team! We are looking for an experienced group leader to join our team this summer to supervise a group of 10-15 3-4 year old campers and 1-2 staff members. We love to work with experienced teachers and child care workers who would be a perfect fit for our 8 week, Monday-Friday summer day camp.
Responsibilities:
· The care and supervision of a group of 3-4 year old campers
· Lead group through the day as they move through scheduled activities.
· Caring for basic needs, assisting with dressing, toileting, basic first aid. snacks and lunches
· Supervision of 1-2 staff members who will assist with this group.
· Set up, lead and clean up activities such as arts and crafts, science experiments, sports activities, water play, role play etc.
· Communicate with other staff members about campers and parents.
· Set up and supervise rest periods.
· Assist with basic cleaning tasks.
Hours and Days
Summer Camp runs for 8 consecutive weeks Monday – Friday from 8am – 2.30pm from Monday June 8th until Friday July 31st
Hourly Rate:
Qualifications: Ideal candidates will have several years’ experience working in Early Childhood settings, will be well organized, punctual and reliable. Candidate must be available for the whole 8-week season.
