Payor Credentialing Specialist Details
Essential Job Duties:
- Credentialing/re-credentialing applications for managed care organizations and hospitals
- Maintaining provider credential files and records
- Assisting with revenue cycle duties and analysis
- Performing other managed care tasks as assigned
Education, Training & Experience
- High School diploma required, Associate Degree preferred.
- Medical Staff Coordinator Certification (CMSC) preferred.
- Excellent grasp of standard written and verbal English, spelling, and basic business math required.
- Typing speed of 60 wpm required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Prior work experience in a healthcare setting required.
- Proficiency with computers and various software required.
