Responsibilities
- Assist taxpayers with inquiries related to motor vehicle tax and title payments, disabled placards and renewing registration processes. Collecting property tax and mobile home tax payments
- Process payments accurately using various accounting software including cash payments, check payments, and credit/debit card transactions
- Review and verify documentation for motor vehicle registration and taxation compliance
- Answer phones and assist customers
- Greet customers into a welcoming environment
- Complete and review various Department of Motor Vehicle forms and affidavits
- Handle confidential information
- Perform daily reconciliation of cash, check, and credit/debit transactions to end of day reports
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Operate common office equipment such as computers, copier/scanner, and adding machine.
- Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional face to face customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively with taxpayers and team members in a professional manner

This position will be subject to a 90-day probationary period. The employer reserves the right to terminate employment at anytime during the inital 90-day probationary period.
