JOB SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, a Program Coordinator will plan, organize, and implement the overall operations of a childcare center at an elementary school site. The Program Coordinator is accountable to implement program elements such as but not limited to management of accounts, program set-up, and is responsible for the effective leadership of their employees while building and maintaining professional relationships in the school community
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Implements an environment that provides a variety of learning and play opportunities which allows students to explore the natural environment and pursue individual interests
2. Effectively communicates and collaborates with internal, i.e. Central Services, and external stakeholders, i.e. Day Care Consultants to ensure the site is maintaining program, county, and state regulations.
3. Ensures appropriate recordkeeping is maintained and reported such as but not limited to fee collection, bookkeeping, inspections, employee performance, daily ledger etc.
4. Supports the supervision of student activities in accordance with the Guidelines for operating an After-School site.
5. Implements the North Carolina state requirements concerning School-Age Care Environment Rating Scale (SACERS), Sanitation, and the North Carolina Division of Child Development.
6. Provides training and support to direct reports as they work with children to identify strengths and areas of growth opportunities
Minimum Qualifications
· Twenty-One (21) years of age
· Completion of Early Childhood Level II Education Course EDU - 119 and three (3) years of childcare training experience.
· Must be able to meet and maintain state licensing requirements and obtain North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education Administration Credential Level I within twelve (12) months of employment.
· CPR/First Aid Certification
