Armed Security Guard – Rover

Location: National City & Chula Vista, CA (South San Diego County)
Employment Type: Part-time
Pay Rate: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour Position Overview We are currently seeking experienced and professional Part-Time Armed Rover Security Guards in National City, Chula Vista, and surrounding South San Diego areas as needed.

The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and capable of maintaining a strong security presence while providing exceptional customer service and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed security coverage at multiple assigned locations.
• Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols.
• Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
• Observe and report suspicious activity or security concerns.
• Complete accurate and detailed Daily Activity Reports (D.A.R.) and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and management.
• Enforce site policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and security incidents.

Requirements

• Valid California Guard Card – Required
• Valid California Exposed Firearm Permit – Required
• Must own a duty firearm and required equipment.
• Reliable transportation with the ability to travel between assigned locations.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to write complete and accurate Daily Activity Reports.
• Professional appearance, reliability, and punctuality.
