Position Overview
At Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), Project Accountants play a vital role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our projects. This position is responsible for preparing detailed American Institute of Architects AIA (AIA) billings and managing change order documentation for general contractors. With every invoice sent and every ledger balanced, you ensure our projects don’t just build structures, they build trust and profitability.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Compliance
- Ensure billing practices are in full compliance with contract terms
- Prepare and send out monthly Payment Applications/Invoices to General Contractors
- Execute and invoice job-specific change orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Process and manage lien releases as required
Project Financial Analysis & Reconciliation
- Prepare monthly project analyses to confirm that billing goals and revenue targets are me
- Complete job statement reconciliations and provide clear financial analysis
- Partner with collections and accounting teams to reconcile any variances in payment applications
Communication & Coordination
- Maintain clear communication with internal and external Project Managers regarding monthly billing status and change orders
- Serve as a liaison between finance and operations to support accurate and timely billing workflows
Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Accounting and corporate objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
- 1-2 years of prior Project Accounting/Billing Analyst experience
- AIA Billing Experience preferred
- Experience in the construction industry preferred
- Proven experience to effectively communicate between internal and external client stakeholders is required
- Ability to work well under deadlines and respond to changes in priorities
- Exceptional attention to detail, and talent for accuracy and precision
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
- Base: $36.00 - $43.00 per hour
