Position Overview
Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG) is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Foreman to lead our production and assembly operations. If you're a strong leader with technical expertise and a commitment to excellence, we invite you to join our team.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Completes and updates production and inventory records as assigned
- Completes special projects as assigned
- Plans and prioritizes all production and assembly activities
- Oversees machine setup and maintenance; operates complex machinery as needed
- Confirms operator certification through the Director of Facilities & Equipment
- Supervises assembly processes, ensuring adherence to standards and recommending improvements
- Manages inventory, documentation, and material requisitions
- Maintains production schedules and communicates major issues to management
- Enforces adherence to production procedures, quality, and safety standards
- Ensures certified personnel operate machinery and all deadlines are met
- Reviews and recommends updates to production policies and procedures
- Supports and guides production staff; assists in evaluating operator and assembler performance
- Steps in as Machine Operator or Assembler when needed
- Communicates issues and updates to the Director of Manufacturing & Shipping
- Attends meetings and coordinates assembly with related functions
- Collaborates with the Director of Facilities & Equipment to ensure operator certification and training
- Support our values in the stated areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of production standards and procedures
- Thorough knowledge of building, testing, and inspecting all types of products
- Knowledge of all Company production machinery and ability to set up each machine
- At least two years of related experience
- Able to operate production machinery
- Quality orientation and attentive to detail
- Good manual dexterity
- Strong supervisory abilities
- Solid decision-making skills
- Cooperative and willing to assist others
- Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft Office Products

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
- Base: $26-$31 per hour
