Summary:

We are seeking an experienced professional to support complex order awareness, delivery experience, and software development initiatives. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring business needs are clearly understood, analyzed, and translated into actionable technical requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting systems and processes that impact the customer journey following order placement, including order tracking, customer communications, delivery execution, and related operational workflows. A strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, data flows, and application architecture is required. While hands-on development experience is not required, candidates must be comfortable working closely with technical teams to define and deliver solutions. This individual will work closely with a Technical Delivery Manager (TDM), partnering on requirements discovery, solution definition, backlog readiness, and successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
  • Create and maintain epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop wireframes, process flows, use cases, and other analysis artifacts.
  • Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to define solution approaches, integrations, and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement and ensure stories are development-ready.
  • Analyze impacts, dependencies, and edge cases across systems and processes.
  • Support testing and user acceptance activities by validating requirements and expected outcomes.
  • Drive clarity and alignment between business and technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Technical Business Analyst on complex, e-commerce software development projects.
  • Development background is not required, but must have a deep understanding of how APIs work and experience developing wireframes.
  • This is not a note-taker role. It is a consultative position working with the technical teams and the business side to find solutions.
  • Will be working closely with a TDM on project delivery.

Required Skills:

  • Experience as a Technical Business Analyst supporting software development projects.
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Proven experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile environments.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, integrations, and system-to-system interactions.
  • Experience creating wireframes, process maps, workflow diagrams, and related documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, engineers, architects, and QA teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting Order Awareness, delivery experience, customer communications, or related operational platforms.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile tools.
  • Familiarity with microservices, event-driven architectures, and modern integration patterns.
  • Experience supporting high-volume transactional systems.

Benefits:

This is a consultative role focused on requirements discovery, analysis, user story creation, and solution definition. The successful candidate will help ensure business needs are translated into clear, actionable work that enables engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
