We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician for our 1st shift operations to support the safe, efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, computer skills, a hands-on approach to maintenance, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain production machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs while also completing routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to help ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Operate and safely use equipment such as drill presses, lathes, mills, saws, and a variety of hand and power tools.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical schematics, work orders, and other technical documentation.
- Perform equipment installations, adjustments, and repairs as needed.
- Identify potential equipment issues and take appropriate corrective action.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work cooperatively with production and maintenance team members to support daily manufacturing operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Mechanical maintenance or repair experience preferred.
- Ability to complete required training to operate a tow motor.
- Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, electrical schematics, and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments accurately and safely.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Position requires periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
- Ability to safely lift and handle items weighing over 50 pounds.
- Work may involve exposure to typical manufacturing equipment, tools, and operating machinery.
