The Press department reports directly to the shift Foreman with the primary responsibilities of pressing and forming Heads per job card using Furnaces and Dies sets as specified. Follows company policy and procedure. Comply with all Uni-Form Components Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures. Reads, interprets and understand job cards. Comply with Uni-Form Components policies and procedures. Maintains and inspect equipment, specifically checking hydraulic oil. Complies with company Housekeeping policies and standards to maintain a clean and orderly work station. Complies with company no-smoking in designated areas and no cell phone policy. Represent the company in a positive professional manner. Ability to meet all company quality standards. Ability to perform other duties assigned. Knowledge and Skill Requirements Willingness to perform task in a fully competent manner. Able to work with presses, dies and work in or withstand high levels of heat. Is certified and demonstrates the ability to safely operate a lift truck up to 40,000 pound lifts capacity. Ability to safely operate hand tools such as: grinder, hammer, wrench and pry bar. Ability to read prints and drawings. Basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills. Must have excellent attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently with minimal suervision. Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and written. High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Working Conditions Tolerate working outside in severe conditions as well as exposure to high temperatures, noise, and dust. Able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach for extended periods of time on a daily basis.
