PROJECT ARCHITECT
Unfold Architecture is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Architect with a strong design sensibility and a background in residential architecture. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and capable of managing multiple projects at various stages of design and construction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Lead Design initiatives on various scales of residential architecture via direct client communication, consultation, and presentation
- Develop, prepare, and review drawings utilizing Revit, and other architectural drafting tools.
- Prepare code compliance evaluations. Participate in review with various governing agencies for code compliance in relation to zoning laws, fire regulations, building codes, and other ordinances.
- Participate in various pre-design services such as feasibility studies, site selection, and cost analysis.
- Ensure design specifications are coordinated with drawings.
- Coordinate information and work on a multi-disciplined team.
- Interact & coordinate with clients and contractors, throughout the design, development, and construction phases of a project.
- Report the status of the design process and cost analysis to appropriate individuals.
- Provide strong technical detailing skills in a variety of construction materials and building types.
- Help further establish Unfold’s market presence as a go-to firm for boutique, high-end design by creating marketing materials, writing blog posts, event planning and branding opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional expertise demonstrated through 5-10 years of residential architectural experience is required.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Architecture or relatable work experience.
- Licensed Architect is preferred but not required.
- Ability to persuasively and visually communicate ideas through both written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of building codes, such as IRC, IBC, and ADA
- Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Suite.
- Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated track record of successful past employment.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, and participate with a variety of team members in different projects at all varying levels of completion.
