Underground Solutions, a subsidiary of Azuria Water Solutions, is one of the most dynamic and fastest growing companies in the water infrastructure and electrical conduit market with a portfolio of proprietary and patented technologies targeting water and wastewater infrastructure improvement and undergrounding of electrical conduit. We are currently seeking a Fabricator to perform welding and fabrication on our WEKO-SEAL product line that has been used for 40 years and over 300,000 installations in trenchless internal joint seals.
Responsibilities
Perform welding, fabrication, rigging, and lifting of heavy objects in a safe manner.
Use of forklifts, scissor lifts, and cutting equipment (torch, plasma saw) in the assembly of projects, as well as general repair and maintenance of shop equipment.
Manufacturing of rubber seals.
Directly support field crews in troubleshooting material issues.
Prepare products for shipment.
Move parts and heavy frames on and off machinery and throughout the facility.
Perform repairs and maintenance on fabrication equipment to include hydraulics, electrical, robotics, and other components.
Perform fabrication equipment evaluation and testing, using measuring and diagnostic devices to adjust, test, and repair equipment.
Communicate and maintain good relationships with vendors and customers.
Follow and abide by all industry standards, regulations, and laws.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to learn how to troubleshoot mechanical problems as needed.
Mig, including stainless, welding, and some tig welding preferred.
Familiar and comfortable with basic shop tools, drills, grinders, impacts, and measuring instruments.
Experience operating a forklift with certification or ability to obtain certification.
Experience operating an Oxy/Acetylene torch preferred.
Familiar with fabrication machinery such as iron worker, band saw, roller, as well basic power and pneumatic tools.
Detail oriented with the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Well versed in shop math and layout processes, experience reading tape measures and understanding measurements down to a 1/32".
Available to work overtime on short notice as needed.
Write neatly and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs., 75 lbs. on occasion.
