Position Summary
Recruiting is a key component to the success of Under Armour. The Lead, College Recruiting is responsible for the strategy and execution of UA’s global internship and university recruiting programs. This leader will create and execute our college recruiting strategy and be accountable to the execution of our business unit internship programs in North America, while providing a framework and guidance to Regional TA leaders on our global Rookie program. Finally, the Lead College Recruiting will support UA’s university and diversity organization relationships including our HBCU and HSI (Historically Black Colleges & Universities and Hispanic-Serving Institutions) recruiting strategies and deepening our engagement with UA’s collegiate partner schools.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and execute UA’s Rookie (internship) program including aligning on headcount, establishing hiring process and timelines, partnering with recruiting teams to hire, develop mentor program, run the performance management and talent calibration process, train managers, track metrics and own execution of the 12-week program
- Build and manage relationships with University students, faculty, and staff; external partners; and UA Teammates and groups including our TRGs (Teammate Resource Groups) to attract top talent to the Brand
- Create and influence UA’s campus recruiting strategy with established support levels to strategic partner schools including HBCU and HSI’s as well as outline tactics and support mapped to our secondary partner schools
- Develop internal partnerships and collaborate cross-functionally to execute a strategy to find and hire the next generation of UA talent
- In partnership with HRBPs, Business leaders and Finance partners, drive the headcount and conversion strategy within each business unit
- Maintain, assess and improve the experience for early career talent through programs and hiring initiatives
- Maintain Rookie program hiring data around campus productivity, applicant diversity, offer acceptances and other key recruiting metrics
- Identify, cultivate, and track candidates to build short- and long-term student and recent graduate talent pipelines to meet the dynamic needs of a global organization
- Create and execute programs on campus at UA that enable students to experience the Under Armour culture and business
- Transform UA’s digital presence to engage students throughout their academic careers using the UA website, social media, and other online student engagement platforms
- Deliver a dynamic outward-facing UA experience during all campus, university and virtual events
- Provide an excellent student applicant experience to all candidates
- Create and influence global Rookie program framework and provide guidance to EMEA, LATAM, and APAC partners on the design and execution of our regional programs
- Oversee vendor/partner relationships, manage negotiations, and adoption to maximize return on investment
- Manage college recruiting program spend for both the Rookie Program and broader University and Diversity Recruiting initiatives
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Passion for the Brand and building our program on campuses globally
- Experience working cross-functionally and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to deliver high-energy presentations internally and externally to audiences ranging from undergraduate college students to senior executives
- Experience using data to tell a story about results
- Strong organizational skills and the willingness to not sweat the small stuff, helping the team execute flawlessly
- Display passion, optimism, and takes a solutions-oriented approach to challenges
- Think strategically about how college can drive UA’s long-term recruiting efforts and strengthen the Brand as an employer of choice
- Ability to adapt, stay calm under pressure, and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Track record of identifying and taking advantage of opportunities to enhance the Brand’s reputation as an employer among college students, to meet the needs of the business, and position UA as a great place to work
Education And / Or Experience
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources, Corporate Recruiting preferably Early Talent and/or Internship, Admissions, or Program Management
- Experience working with, designing and executing development programs for university level students
- As college recruiting may return to hosting on-campus events, this role could be required to travel 30% of the time during those periods
Other Requirements
- Position can be based remotely but travel will be required to Baltimore Global Headquarters during summer internship program and for college recruiting events as needed (10-25%)
