A venture-backed, rapid-growth enterprise technology company is seeking a Senior Vice President of Operations to serve as the CEO’s core operating partner and lead the company’s next phase of scale. This is a senior executive role responsible for building the internal operating engine of the business while ensuring strong execution in the field for enterprise clients.
About the Role
The SVP of Operations will oversee both Operations and People, creating the structure, systems, and accountability needed to support rapid growth with consistency and discipline. This is a builder-operator role for someone who can improve what exists, fix what does not, and put scalable infrastructure in place for the future.
Responsibilities
- Lead and scale all physical and technical operations through senior functional leaders
- Oversee logistics, installation, maintenance, inventory, warehousing, and field technical support
- Drive continuous improvement in installation speed, uptime, service quality, and cost efficiency
- Build scalable processes, KPIs, and vendor strategies that support growth and operational excellence
- Own procurement strategy, including vendor selection, pricing negotiations, contract discipline, and cost control
- Oversee People Operations and organizational design in partnership with People leadership
- Build scalable hiring, onboarding, performance management, and compliance frameworks
- Develop manager capability, role clarity, and accountability across the organization
- Translate CEO priorities into sequenced initiatives with measurable outcomes and clear follow-through
- Partner closely with Finance to align operating plans with budgets, forecasts, and investment decisions
- Work cross-functionally with Product, IT, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure customer commitments translate into executable operating plans
- Build operating discipline through clear metrics, consistent reviews, and structured accountability rhythms
Success Measures
- Installation timelines consistently meet plan through standardized workflows and improved execution
- Cost to serve decreases through process improvement and operational discipline
- Service and maintenance costs improve, driving stronger unit economics
- Core systems replace manual work in critical workflows
- Performance data is used consistently to manage the business and drive improvement
- High-performing teams are built across Operations and People with clear ownership and accountability
- The business runs with greater predictability, discipline, and follow-through
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; business, engineering, or operations-related field preferred
- Advanced degree such as an MBA or MS is a plus
- 15 years of progressive leadership experience in operations or internal business functions
- Experience leading senior functional leaders and distributed teams
- Strong track record of building systems, improving execution, and scaling operations
- Formal training in Lean Six Sigma or related continuous improvement methodologies preferred
- Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-growth, founder-led environment
- Comfortable in a lean, dynamic, high-accountability setting
