Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their food orders using POS systems such as Toast POS.
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively to support food preparation activities.
- Process cash and card transactions accurately, including cash handling, processing sales, upselling products, and managing retail sales transactions.
- Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing counters, equipment, and dining areas to ensure health and safety compliance.
- Manage customer service inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.
- Support food safety management practices by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong skills in food preparation, food handling, and operating kitchen equipment.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Demonstrated ability in sales techniques including upselling to enhance customer satisfaction and increase revenue.
- Basic math skills for cash register operations, processing transactions accurately, and giving correct change.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean workspace in accordance with sanitation standards and food safety regulations.
- Previous retail or café experience is advantageous but not required; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential.
