Grab & Go Clerk – Deli Department (Bohemia, NY)
Our Deli Department is seeking a friendly, organized Grab & Go Clerk to help prepare, package, and stock freshly made items for our customers. This role ensures our shelves are consistently filled with high-quality, attractive, and properly labeled foods that reflect our store’s commitment to freshness and exceptional service. (Two shifts available: AM and PM)
Responsibilities

Prepare and package Grab & Go items such as salads, sandwiches, sides, and ready-to-eat meals following store recipes and portion guidelines

Label all products accurately, including ingredients, allergens, dates, and pricing

Stock and rotate all packaged items, ensuring shelves remain full, clean, and visually appealing

Monitor product quality, freshness, and expiration dates; remove and report any out-of-date or damaged items

Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, following all food safety and hygiene standards

Assist with basic prep tasks such as slicing, mixing, assembling, and weighing ingredients

Provide courteous and efficient customer service when answering questions or locating items

Support deli team during busy periods with light duties as needed (e.g., restocking supplies, organizing display cases)
Qualifications

Prior food handling or retail experience preferred but not required

Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety protocols

Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality

Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–30 lbs

Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
