Join Our Team at Uncle G’s Marketplace in Port Jefferson Station! We’re currently looking for a part-time Call Center Representative to join the fast-paced and friendly office team at our gourmet store.
As a Call Center Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers—handling a high volume of incoming calls with professionalism and care. You’ll assist with general catering inquiries, provide top-notch customer service, and work to resolve any questions or concerns efficiently and courteously.

Responsibilities
- Manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner.
- Follow communication “scripts” when handling different topics
- Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research every issue and provide solutions and/or alternatives.
- Seize opportunities to upsell products when they arise.
- Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by taking the extra mile.
- Keep records of all conversations in our call center database in a comprehensible way.
- Frequently attend educational catering seminars provided by upper management to improve knowledge and performance levels.
- Meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets.
- Other duties and functions as assigned
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer support role with high volume calls
- Track record of over-achieving quota
- Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening
- Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
