About the Role
As our Kitchen Manager, you’ll oversee the daily operations of our kitchen — managing inventory, supervising food preparation, maintaining quality standards, and leading a talented team of culinary staff. You’ll ensure that every dish meets our high standards for freshness, flavor, and presentation, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
What You’ll Do

Oversee and coordinate all kitchen activities, ensuring food is prepared and served according to Uncle Giuseppe’s recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines

Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment

Conduct hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed

Maintain and monitor kitchen inventory, placing orders based on menu needs and business demand

Partner with department managers to develop menu items, set pricing, and determine portion sizes

Schedule shifts based on business needs, holidays, and special events

Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment

Conduct regular inventories and implement measures to minimize waste

Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Food Safety & Quality

Oversee all food safety, inventory, and quality assurance processes

Ensure food is stored, labeled, and handled according to proper safety standards

Monitor product quality and consistency throughout the day

Enforce food safety compliance among all team members
What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent required
-
3–5 years of experience managing a high-volume kitchen
-
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Food Safety Certification required

Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
Working Conditions

Frequent standing and movement on hard surfaces

Regular bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 lbs. (with assistance for heavier items)

Exposure to varying temperatures from ovens, coolers, and freezers

Potential exposure to cleaning agents and sharp equipment

Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
