POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, performs prescribed radiologic/diagnostic procedures requiring specialized knowledge and skills in support of the provision of diagnostic and/or therapeutic services to a specified patient population. Ensures accurate diagnostic results for patients of any age of graphically recorded impulses generated by the brain providing quality outcomes by performing EEG (electroencephalogram) consistent with department policies.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required:
- Working knowledge of cardiographic equipment and procedures gained through actual work experience in a healthcare setting
- Education: High School diploma or GED. Successful completion of education/training to obtain necessary technologist certification(s).
- Training and experience: one year of current experience within the last three years in a comparable job classification required.
- Maintenance of current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for HealthCare Workers or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification for HealthCare workers.
- Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information.
- Complies with Infection Control, Standard Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., face mask, goggles, latex/non-latex gloves) as needed.
- Ability to work effectively within role independently and with other team members.
- Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner.
- Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
- Ability to understand medical/surgical terminology
- Physical Demands-Stooping, turning, bending, squatting, kneeling and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; constant/repetitive standing; requires normal, correctable vision and hearing, and the ability to accurately discern color as necessary to perform job functions.

- Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication and clinical practice relevant to unique needs of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Incumbent must demonstrate competence in the use of equipment and application of procedures before being allowed to perform independently.
- Cross train in other areas that does not require specialized credentialing to assist with coverage.
