What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIRECTOR, FOOD SERVICES position at UNC Health Southeastern?
POSITION SUMMARY: Plans, directs and coordinates the activities for the provision of food and nutrition services for UNC Health Southeastern, which includes Patient and Retail Services for the Medical Center.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s in Dietetics\Food Service Management or related field and 5 years management experience in a healthcare foodservice setting. Demonstrated organizational, communication and leadership skills. Current ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification. Current designation as Certified Dietary Manager or Registered Dietitian.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Dietetics\Food Service Management, Healthcare Administration or related field. Registered Dietitian.
ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply population-appropriate principles of communication and clinical practice relevant to all population-specific groups of patients.
