- Compensation: Starting at $16.00/hour, based on experience, education, and internal equity.

What You’ll Do as a Staff Ready Float

Support a variety of non-clinical units, including Patient Observation, Admissions, Transport, and other areas as competencies allow.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure a safe and positive experience.

Assist with patient movement, transport, observation, and non-clinical tasks that contribute to patient safety and workflow efficiency.

Maintain compliance with organizational policies, safety procedures, and service standards.

Demonstrate flexibility by adjusting to departmental needs and assisting where staffing support is required.

Qualifications

Education:
-
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:
-
Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required at hire.

Skills & Abilities:
-
Strong communication skills using positive verbal and non-verbal techniques.

Ability to perform safe and effective support tasks within defined scope and hospital policies.

Knowledge of the continuum of care within a healthcare environment.

Excellent customer service skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.

Physical & Work Environment
- Lift, position, or transfer patients and equipment 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, and turning.
- Requires manual dexterity, mobility, and close visual acuity.
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, hazardous equipment, and emergency situations.
- Work may involve irregular hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Continuous physical engagement for shifts of 8 hours, including frequent patient mobilization.
