- Compensation: Starting pay begins at $18.13 per hour, with competitive rates based on experience and education.

What You’ll Do as a Pharmacy Technician I

Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and distributing medications safely and accurately.

Maintain inventory levels, restock supplies, and assist with medication storage and organization.

Interact courteously with patients, families, and clinical staff while supporting pharmacy customer service needs.

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, hospital policies, and safety standards.

Support pharmacists and team members in daily workflow, including medication delivery to patient care areas.

Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and effective communication in all interactions.

Follow established procedures for handling hazardous medications and materials.
Qualifications
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
-
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Retail pharmacy experience considered.
Licenses/Certifications:

Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
Skills & Abilities:

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.

Competency in safely and accurately filling or preparing medications within the legal scope of practice.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Physical & Work Environment
- Lift, push, pull, or carry up to and over 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods (8 hours per shift).
- Exposure to chemicals, mechanical equipment, and hospital environment risks.
- May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, hazardous substances, and radiation (ionizing/non-ionizing).
- May work variable hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
