Compensation: Starting pay begins at $15.00 per hour, with competitive rates based on experience and education.
Schedule: Variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.

What You’ll Do as an Environmental Service Worker
- Perform daily cleaning assignments, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Strip and refinish floors, perform carpet cleaning and extraction, and handle both general and biohazardous waste disposal.
- Safely remove and dispose of confidential materials in accordance with hospital policy.
- Ensure compliance with hospital infection control standards and sanitation guidelines.
- Restock supplies and report maintenance or equipment issues promptly.
- Collaborate with staff to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with emergency cleaning or special assignments as needed.
Qualifications
Education:

High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Experience:

Previous experience in environmental services or a healthcare setting preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:

Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Knowledge of infection control and sanitation procedures.
- Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Dependable, organized, and self-motivated.
Physical & Work Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to and over 50 lbs.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, electrical/mechanical equipment, and hospital environment risks.
- Regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious materials.
- May work variable shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
