What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chain Puller position at Umpqua Dairy?
Essential Functions:
- Load and unload materials on pallets, trays, racks, chains, and shelves by hand.
- Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, stacks, or other containers.
- Stack or assemble materials onto pallets and band or shrink wrap stacks to secure product.
- Lift heavy objects by hand, with a metal hook, or with a power hoist, and clean the work area, machines, and equipment.
- Operate industrial hand truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
- Keep the work area clean and free of debris, remove broken products and any other hazards.
- Use chemicals to sanitize products and the warehouse.
- Properly rotate inventory to follow the first in, first out procedure.
- General housekeeping and clean-up duties
- Other duties as assigned
Pay Range: $19.28 - $21.42
