Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-time
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food service activities in accordance with menu plans and dietary guidelines
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Support kitchen operations through basic cooking, food assembly, and plating of meals
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure a safe environment
- Help with menu planning by preparing ingredients and assisting in the organization of food items
- Serve meals to guests or residents with professionalism and courtesy
- Follow all safety protocols related to food industry standards and catering requirements
Experience
- Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is advantageous
- Experience working in fine dining or restaurant environments is highly valued
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is essential
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience, including knife skills and meal preparation, will be beneficial
- Background in the food industry or catering settings is a plus
- Strong understanding of serving protocols and food service operations
