Independent Cleaning Contractor or Cleaning Business (Residential), Portland Metro
About UMI Cleaning
UMI Cleaning is a Portland home-cleaning company built around one promise: book a cleaner fast and reliably. Customers book online in under a minute, see upfront pricing, and pay securely through us. Behind that is a booking and dispatch system, a dedicated customer support line, and ongoing marketing that keeps demand coming in.
We partner with independent cleaning professionals and small cleaning businesses to serve those customers. We handle the customer side. You run your own business and do the cleaning your way.
How it works.
As a 1099 contractor, you choose which jobs to accept and how much work to take on each week. For every job, we send you the job details, the customer’s requests, and property information, and you deliver the clean. Pay is about $26-$32 per hour of work (estimate), paid per job and based on the size of the property and the scope of the job. You see the exact amount before you accept.
Pay
- Expect about $26-$32 per hour of work (estimate). You’re paid per job, not by the hour.
- A standard clean typically pays $125-$150 and takes about 2-4 hours. Deep cleans and move-outs pay more, up to $210 .
- You see the exact pay for each job before you decide to accept it.
- Pay arrives within 2 business days of completion through our payment platform. Tips go entirely to you.
- Work isn’t guaranteed. There’s no minimum number of jobs, and you’re never obligated to take any.
