Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, such as coffee and tea, and light snacks to our customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, and teas
- Take customer orders accurately and provide recommendations when needed
- Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines and grinders
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning coffee machines, utensils, and work areas
- Handle cash transactions using a POS system
- Uphold high standards of customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly manner
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with sales techniques to promote products effectively
