Job Summary

The Associate Director of Success Toolkit - Level Up Your Learning in the Learning Resource Center (LRC) develops, implements, and incorporates student success curriculum and academic skill-building materials across the University. This position leads the integration of student success content into first-year seminars, credit-bearing courses, and co-curricular workshops, supporting student retention, persistence, wellness, and academic thriving. In addition, the Associate Director oversees the design, coordination, and delivery of the University's Peer Educator Training Hub.

Essential Functions

Designs, develops, and maintains student success curriculum, toolkits, and instructional materials for first-year seminars, workshops, and University courses. Collaborates with faculty, academic departments, and campus partners to effectively embed student success content into curricular and co-curricular frameworks.

Leads the creation of scalable, evidencebased academic skills modules.

Assesses curriculum effectiveness using data-informed practices and revises materials to address emerging student needs. Tracks participation, outcomes, and learning data for curricular and training programs. Prepares reports, presentations, and updates for University leadership.

Develops and oversees the University's Peer Educator Training Hub, establishing high-impact, research-based training for peer tutors, mentors, leaders, and other undergraduate educators. Coordinates annual and ongoing training workshops, certification pathways, and professional development opportunities and ensures alignment with national standards.

Delivers workshops and presentations to faculty, staff, and students on student success strategies, pedagogy, and academic skills.

Serves as a campus resource on student success skills and peer educator training and best practices and works with the Senior Assistant Provost of Learning Resources and Undergraduate Research to align success skills across campus.

Contributes to LRC strategic planning and campus-wide student success initiatives.

Builds and maintains strong partnerships across campus, with a special focus on academic affairs and academic departments, student affairs, advising, and retention-focused units.

Supervises and mentors graduate assistants and a team of undergraduate trainers. Supports hiring, onboarding, scheduling, evaluation, and professional development for student staff and creates a supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented working environment.

Other Functions

Performs other duties as assigned.

May supervise professional staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and at least four (4) years of experience working in higher education, student affairs, learning support, curriculum design, or related field.

Demonstrated experience developing instructional materials or training resources in multiple modalities (e.g. in person, online and hybrid).

Experience supervising student employees or mentoring student leaders.

Strong understanding of student development, academic success strategies, and inclusive pedagogy.

Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to create and present engaging content to a diverse population of stakeholders with varying levels of experience.

Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to express thoughts clearly and in a logical sequence.

Strong organizational and project management skills and excellent attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain harmonious working relationships and collaborate effectively with a diverse population of stakeholders.

Sound judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new technology and tools quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or above in higher education, curriculum/teaching, educational psychology, or related field.

Experience training peer educators, tutors, mentors, or similar student roles.

Experience teaching first-year seminars or college success courses.

Knowledge of national standards for peer education and tutoring programs.

Data-informed assessment experience.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a standard office or indoor university environment and involves minimal physical exertion.

Work Schedule and Work Arrangement

Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Required to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Salary Information

Pay Grade:PSSAP Grade 27
