Role Summary
The Manufacturing Supervisor – DPI is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing dry powder inhaler (DPI) manufacturing operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production. This role involves supervising shop-floor operations, ensuring cGMP compliance, supporting batch execution (commercial, validation, and bio-batches), and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet production and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise DPI manufacturing activities, including in-process and finished product delivery.
- Review and compile manufacturing documentation such as batch records and validation protocols.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, quality, productivity, and performance standards.
- Provide daily supervision, guidance, and troubleshooting support to production operators.
- Coordinate with QA, QC, R&D, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Warehousing, and HR to meet production schedules and quality goals.
- Support execution of bio-batches (ANDA) and validation batches in collaboration with IPD/R&D.
- Implement and maintain cGMP, SOPs, safety, cleaning, and operating procedures.
- Train, coach, and manage performance of assigned team members.
- Participate in safety programs and enforce safety, health, and environmental policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and audit-ready manufacturing environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Manufacturing Management.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience; generic pharma experience preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of product quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, investigations, and root cause analysis.
- Experience supporting regulatory and compliance audits.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- SAP system experience preferred; statistical tools knowledge is a plus.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
- Ability to lead diverse teams and work under tight deadlines.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills (English required).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.73 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
