Job Description About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Engagement Manager – Strategic Alliances to drive strategic client relationships, business growth, and alliance development within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Retail sector.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in strategic account management, client engagement, business development, and building long-term relationships with senior stakeholders. This role requires a commercially driven professional who can identify growth opportunities, collaborate with internal teams, and develop strategic partnerships that deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and strengthen strategic relationships with key CPG and Retail clients.
• Identify and develop new business and account-growth opportunities.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities.
• Develop and execute account growth and engagement strategies.
• Work closely with senior client stakeholders to understand business priorities and challenges.
• Develop strategic alliances and partnerships that support business growth.
• Lead client discussions, presentations, proposals, and commercial negotiations.
• Collaborate with delivery, consulting, technology, and industry teams to develop solutions for clients.
• Drive account planning, revenue growth, and client retention.
• Monitor account performance, pipeline, revenue, and business-development activities.
• Develop strong relationships with C-level and senior executive stakeholders.
• Stay current on CPG and Retail industry trends and identify opportunities for clients.
• Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
• Represent the organization at relevant industry events and networking opportunities.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 8–15 years of professional experience in consulting, account management, business development, strategic alliances, or client engagement.
• Strong experience working with CPG and/or Retail clients.
• Proven track record of managing strategic accounts and driving revenue growth.
• Experience developing and maintaining senior-level client relationships.
• Strong business development and consultative selling skills.
• Experience managing complex sales cycles and strategic opportunities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong commercial and strategic thinking.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work onsite in New York, NY.

• Experience with a professional services, consulting, technology, or analytics organization.
• Existing relationships within the CPG/Retail industry.
• Experience with strategic partnerships or alliance development.
• Experience working with enterprise clients and C-level stakeholders.
