POSITION SUMMARY
The Transaction Coordinator will report to the CDO but will serve a cross functional role requiring accountability to and collaboration with multiple departments and stakeholders within UDG (including asset management, finance and legal). The Transaction Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing several key processes for UDG’s pipeline of multifamily real estate development projects. These projects are in various stages of the development lifecycle, from due diligence through closing and pre-stabilization.
JOB DESCRIPTION
· Prioritizes and manages multiple complex projects concurrently, ensuring all deadlines within the assigned portfolio are met.
· Prepares and coordinates materials, applications or forms for lenders and equity institutions related to affordable multifamily housing closings, including acquisitions, re-syndications, and new construction projects.
· Assists with preparation of bond applications, tax credit applications, and other financing or soft funds packages that are needed to secure funding for projects.
· Coordinates closing and post-closing activities, including state agency reporting, 8609 applications, permanent financing conversions, equity installments, and refinances. Actively engages with stakeholders to coordinate the necessary due diligence for each value event, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
· Orders third-party reports as needed throughout various phases of a project including, but not limited to, Environmental Studies, Property Condition Assessments, Appraisals, Market Studies, Title and Survey, and Zoning Reports.
· Fosters relationships with other departments such as asset management, construction and accounting to streamline communication and gather necessary information for lenders and investors.
· Participates in regular conference calls with the development team, lenders, investors, underwriters, attorneys, and other stakeholders to provide updates on the due diligence process.
· Interprets and extracts key information from loan agreements and partnership agreements to understand project timelines and track upcoming value events.
· Maintains organized electronic due diligence files in accordance with existing processes and standards.
· Assists with administrative or organizational needs where appropriate.
Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience in transaction management, experience with affordable housing preferred
- Strong record of managing complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to have professional interaction with team members, stakeholders, government officials and staff
- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
- Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
- Must be willing to travel on occasion
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate may be eligible for a performance-based bonus up to 10%, which is determined based on individual and company performance.
