Position Summary

The ideal candidate will also assist with mechanical maintenance and facility repairs as needed to support safe, efficient plant operations.

Education & Experience:
This position operates primarily in a manufacturing and facility maintenance environment. Work may involve exposure to heat, electrical currents, noise, and mechanical equipment. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)-including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots-is required. The role requires standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Occasional overtime, on-call, or weekend work may be required based on maintenance needs.

The ideal candidate will also assist with mechanical maintenance and facility repairs as needed to support safe, efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, panels, wiring, and components according to NEC standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, control panels, and lighting systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and complete associated checklists for all electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Support maintenance activities involving PLCs, sensors, relays, and other control systems.
- Assist with general facility maintenance tasks, including mechanical and structural repairs.
- Ensure all electrical work meets code and company quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts usage.
- Follow company safety procedures and utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve issues quickly and minimize downtime.
- Participate in continuous improvement, safety meetings, and training programs.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License required.
- 3–5 years of experience in electrical work within an industrial or manufacturing environment required.
- 3-5 years of general maintenance or facility experience required.
- Obtaining Forklift certification upon hire is required.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of PLC systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and motor control systems preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and preventive maintenance standards.
