We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Assembly Technician with specialized expertise in aerospace wire harness and cable assembly. This role requires a technical professional who is experienced in deciphering blueprints, working with solder sleeves, and assembling complex electronic systems per stringent industry standards. As part of a dynamic team, you will help deliver mission-critical solutions that uphold a reputation for quality and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly and wiring of electronic equipment and mechanical component assemblies in compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 Standards.
- Interpret and execute assembly diagrams, wire lists, and schematics accurately.
- Conduct intricate point-to-point wiring, cable integration, and harness fabrication of systems such as chassis, consoles, and control enclosures.
- Operate and use assembly tools, including soldering irons, wire strippers, and crimpers, with proficiency.
- Apply practical knowledge of basic electrical circuits, equipment, and best practices.
- Assemble printed wiring boards, including through-hole and surface mount terminations.
- Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with company and project specifications while completing required paperwork accurately.
- Follow company procedures and safety protocols to deliver high-quality products in a clean and organized environment.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or relevant on-the-job experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of wire harness assembly processes and ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Competency with soldering techniques and familiarity with solder sleeves and other related components.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering precise, quality workmanship.
- Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and ability to adhere to these specifications.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience operating production equipment effectively.
