Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to join a client in Fort Worth. This is a full-time, direct hire position.
As a Failure Analysis Engineer, you will play a key role in improving product reliability and performance by investigating and resolving product failures. You'll lead root cause analysis, develop preventive solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth failure analysis on electronic components and systems to identify root causes of defects.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to assess failures and prepare detailed reports.
- Partner with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Establish and maintain robust failure analysis processes for consistent, accurate results.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
- Document all procedures, findings, and corrective actions for future reference and process improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging failure analysis technologies.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to support product development and reliability initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians in failure analysis best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in failure analysis within electronics or semiconductor industries.
- Proven expertise in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Hands-on experience with techniques such as SEM, EDX, and XRF.
- Familiarity with reliability testing and environmental stress screening.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data interpretation skills.
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment and failure analysis software tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and in team settings.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in failure analysis and quality assurance
