Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Employee Benefits Agent to join a dynamic team in California. This role is responsible for advising individuals and businesses on insurance and employee benefit solutions, including health, dental, vision, life, and supplemental coverage. The ideal candidate will build strong client relationships, identify needs, and deliver customized benefit strategies that align with client goals and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Client Consultation & Sales

  • Meet with individuals and employer groups to assess benefit needs and financial objectives.
  • Recommend appropriate employee benefits products including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
  • Present plan options clearly and professionally, explaining features, costs, and coverage details.
  • Generate new business through networking, referrals, and prospecting activities.
  • Maintain and grow an existing book of business.

Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Assist clients with policy renewals, plan changes, and ongoing support.
  • Resolve client inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct annual benefit reviews and recommend plan adjustments.

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure all enrollments and documentation meet regulatory requirements (ACA, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate client records and policy information in CRM systems.
  • Stay up to date with changes in insurance laws, products, and market trends.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with carriers, underwriters, and internal team members.
  • Coordinate with HR teams and business owners to implement benefit programs.
  • Support team initiatives and contribute to organizational growth.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in insurance, employee benefits, or related sales field.
  • Prior experience in B2B or consultative sales is highly desirable.

Licensing

  • Active Life and Health Insurance License (required).
  • Additional certifications (e.g., Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) are a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Consultative sales approach with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to explain complex insurance concepts in simple terms.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Work Hours

Monday - Friday, standard business hours.

Salary : $65,000 - $700,000
