CNC Machinist (with Grinding Experience)

The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and adjusting CNC machines to produce precision metal or plastic components according to engineering specifications. This position requires hands-on grinding experience-such as surface, cylindrical, or centerless grinding-to achieve tight tolerances and high-quality finishes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work orders
• Setting up tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters
• Operating CNC machines to produce parts to exact specifications
• Performing surface or cylindrical grinding operations as needed
• Inspecting finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments
• Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
• Maintaining equipment, performing minor repairs, and reporting maintenance needs
• Following safety standards and quality control procedures

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, solid math and measurement skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a production team. Experience with tight tolerances, machining various materials, and troubleshooting equipment is essential. Prior experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment is preferred.
