CNC Machine Operator – Plastics Manufacturing (1st & 2nd Shift)
Location: Wallingford, CT
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20.00 per hour (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled CNC Machine Operators to join a fast-paced plastics manufacturing facility in Wallingford, CT. This role involves operating and maintaining CNC equipment used in the production of precision plastic components. Candidates with experience in plastic machining or similar production environments are encouraged to apply.
Shift Availability:
- 1st Shift
- 2nd Shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines used for plastic component production
- Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and specifications
- Adjust machine settings to ensure proper cutting and shaping of plastic materials
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Perform basic troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all company safety and production procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous CNC machining experience required (plastics experience preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Familiarity with plastic materials and machining processes is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
