CNC Machinist

Immediate opening on our first production shift for skilled CNC lathe machinist at our Shelton, Connecticut facility. An exciting opportunity to join a world leading manufacturer of ship motion control equipment. Technically interesting product line and highly successful brands in the commercial ship, military ship and luxury yacht market sectors.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Required Skills/Education:

• 3 years' experience, 5 years or more preferred
• CNC Lathes set-up and operate
• Experience in a short run production environment
• Must be conscientious, fast and accurate with attention to detail
• Self-motivated, productivity minded and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to read engineering drawings and process procedures and be familiar with measuring instruments and gauges
• Read G-code, understand and edit programs
• Math skills: Shop Math, Trigonometry, Geometry
• Must be quality conscience and be responsible for own work
• Setup and perform machine operations on two machines in the work cell
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager
