Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
- Operate power tools and landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
- Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to ensure proper care and pest management
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and conserve water resources
- Conduct groundskeeping duties such as leaf removal, debris cleanup, hardscape repairs, and general site tidying
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Assist with landscape design projects by installing new features like pathways, retaining walls, or garden beds as needed
Qualifications
- Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of grounds maintenance and landscaping practices
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating power tools and landscaping equipment
- Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management techniques
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is preferred
- Commitment to safety protocol adherence during all job activities
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently
