Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and contribute to a variety of outdoor projects. This role involves working on residential and commercial properties, assisting with landscape installation, maintenance, and enhancement. Duties
- Assist with landscape installation including planting, sod laying, and hardscape construction
- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing
- Maintain landscape features through pruning, tree care, and hedge trimming
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators and snow plows safely and effectively
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Conduct general maintenance tasks including debris removal, soil preparation, and mulch spreading
- Support team members in executing projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing during winter months
- Contribute to the overall aesthetic and health of landscapes through horticultural practices
Experience
- Prior experience in landscaping, lawn care, or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating landscaping equipment and power tools is advantageous
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including tree care, gardening, and hardscape installation is a plus
- Experience with construction or excavation equipment such as excavators can be beneficial
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks is essential
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to landscaping tools and machinery is important for maintaining a safe work environment
