Electrical/Mechanical Technician Raleigh, NC, United States Job Description This is a hands-on Electrical / Mechanical Technician role based onsite at our modern testing facility in RTP, NC. The position focuses on electromechanical testing, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems and practical mechanical aptitude. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with equipment, test setups, and physical hardware, following established procedures, and contributing to accurate, high-quality test results. The work is active and requires regular standing, equipment setup, and use of tools. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor electrical and electromechanical test equipment for client projects. Build, modify, or adapt test setups based on engineering instructions, datasheets, and defined test plans. Examine samples and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and basic mechanical drawings. Execute testing according to predefined procedures and accurately record test data. Operate designated machines and perform routine equipment maintenance; assist with basic calibration activities. Observe test performance, identify issues, and prepare clear and concise test reports. Communicate with customers during setup and testing to ensure proper test execution. Suggest practical improvements to equipment, processes, or testing methods. Work independently within assigned responsibilities while following safety and quality standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the lab environment. Qualifications Hands‑On & Physical Work Requirements This position requires regular hands-on interaction with equipment, components, and tooling. Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and move test equipment and samples as required. Comfortable working in a lab environment with manual setup, troubleshooting, and direct testing. This is not a desk-based or design-focused role. Required Qualifications Higher Secondary Education or technical training in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical fields. 3+ years of hands-on experience in a testing, lab, technician, or manufacturing support environment preferred. Solid working knowledge of electrical systems; basic mechanical aptitude required. Ability to read and follow technical instructions, schematics, and test procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong attention to detail and ability to record accurate data. Effective communication skills and willingness to interact with customers and internal teams. Interest in automation tools or basic scripting to support day-to-day testing is a plus. Preferred Candidate Profile Enjoys practical, hands-on technical work rather than theoretical or design-focused tasks. Comfortable following established processes while contributing improvement ideas. Team-oriented, reliable, and safety-conscious. Motivated by doing high-quality technical work in a collaborative lab environment. Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $40,000 and $56,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
