We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Construction Lift Director to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of lift operations on complex mission critical projects. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of all crane and lifting operations, ensuring alignment with project timelines and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop detailed lift plans using construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, or HeavyBid.
- Oversee the procurement and management of heavy lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with construction regulations and safety standards.
- Supervise lift crews and manage teams in a construction management role to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules.
- Review construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to facilitate precise lift operations and site logistics.
- Monitor construction site activities related to lifts, including crane setup, load calculations, rigging inspections, and safety audits.
- Ensure all lift activities comply with local construction regulations, safety standards, and contractual requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of lift operations, incident reports, inspection logs, and project documentation using project management software.
- Assist in cost management by tracking equipment usage, labor hours, and material costs related to lift operations.
- Support project scheduling efforts by coordinating construction schedule updates with other trades to optimize site productivity.
Experience
- Proven experience managing complex infrastructure or commercial construction projects with a focus on heavy lifting or crane operations.
- Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Strong background in construction estimating, cost management, and contract administration within the heavy civil or infrastructure sector.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining high safety standards.
- Familiarity with construction regulations related to lifts, crane operations, and site safety compliance.
- Proficiency in using construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, or similar platforms.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical documentation review for accurate lift planning.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects.
- NCCCO Lift Director Certification is considered a plus
- OSHA or other safety related certifications are also considered a plus
