Construction Superintendent

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from start to finish. This role is vital in ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with industry-leading construction management software. As a Construction Superintendent, you will coordinate all on-site activities, manage teams effectively, interpret technical drawings, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Your leadership will drive project success while fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.

Duties

• Oversee daily construction site operations, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols
• Experience managing trades or coming from a trades background is considered a plus
• Manage and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain productivity and quality standards
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide on-site activities and ensure accurate implementation
• Coordinate project scheduling using Primavera P6 or similar construction scheduling software to meet deadlines
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and compliance with OSHA and federal safety regulations
• Review construction drawings and technical documents for accuracy; facilitate timely updates as needed
• Manage project budgets, track costs using HeavyBid or comparable tools, and report on financial performance
• Enforce safety policies through construction safety management practices; conduct safety meetings and audits regularly
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam for documentation, reporting, and communication across teams
• Lead contract negotiations and manage contractual obligations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards including OSHA standards

Experience

• Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management roles with a strong background in supervising large-scale projects
• Extensive on-site construction experience with a focus on pipeline projects or similar heavy infrastructure work
• Demonstrated expertise in managing teams within a fast-paced construction environment; excellent crew management skills
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints; strong understanding of construction drawing review processes
• Skilled in project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6; capable of coordinating complex construction schedules effectively
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations including OSHA standards; experience implementing safety programs on-site
• Familiarity with construction management software like ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Management systems for contracts and budgets (HeavyBid)
• Ability to communicate clearly with management teams, clients, subcontractors, and field personnel; managerial communication skills essential
• Strong understanding of federal construction safety regulations; committed to maintaining a safe work environment at all times
• Prior commercial construction experience preferred; familiarity with budgeting processes and quality control procedures

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
